No matter what your circumstance, no matter what you feel or what you see, don’t be moved and more than anything remember who you are and more importantly WHOSE you are. He has put in you all you need to overcome and you are victorious no matter what it may look like or what you may feel. Remind yourself of this when the enemy comes to try and make you forget your identity. Trials will come and they will go. Remember it’s not what you go through but HOW you go through. Go through with an attitude of faith knowing who you are. #rememberwhoyouare
“Blessed is a man who perseveres under trial; for once he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him.”James 1:12 NASB
If you look in the Word, there are countless times that trials are mentioned. So many people think that coming to the Lord means that life will be a bed of roses. Don’t we all wish. When we are in the midst of trials we can feel overwhelmed and start questioning God and asking Him why we are going through this. No matter how hard the trial is that you are going through, remember that our Father gives us strength to persevere and to go through. He will never give us more than we can handle. The mistake many people make is relying on their own strength when He clearly tells us to “cast all our cares upon Him”. We have to learn to lean on the Lord and His strength. Whatever you are going through, don’t set your eyes on the circumstance but set your eyes on the one who will bring you through and if you really look, there is something to learn through it. I can honestly say that through some of the hardest trials I have ever faced, I learned what real faith is. A lot of times you think you are walking in faith because you say all the right things at the right time but what are your thoughts, attitude and actions saying? Do you have an attitude of faith or an attitude of doubt? Are you moved by what you hear and think or do you choose to believe what the Word tells you? It is through the darkest moments of your life that your God becomes the most real and you truly learn what it is to walk by faith. So while you are going through, see what the teacher would have you learn so you can pass the test.
“In this you greatly rejoice, even though now for a little while, if necessary, you have been distressed by various trials, so that the proof of your faith, being more precious than gold which is perishable, even though tested by fire, may be found to result in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ;”
